This dissolution of marriage case involved the valuation of the marital residence where the wife’s expert valued it at $535,000.  The husband relied on the County’s tax valuation of $285,900.  The trial court held that the current market value was $440,000, without explaining how that figure was calculated.  The appeals court remanded the matter to the trial court to explain how it arrived at its valuation.
